A quote on leadership

I love this quote on leadership by Lao Tzu, the founder of Taoism:

A leader is best when people barely know he exists, not so good when people obey and acclaim him, worse when they despise him....But of a good leader who talks little when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say, "We did it ourselves."

The quote says a lot about leadership. It simply means that if your actions and deeds inspire others to learn more and do more then your an effective and true leader.

Hmm, what will leadership look like 20 years from now? What is the other side of leadership that addresses how a leader identifies himself as a person?
